"I guess so," Hermione muses, doing her best to keep her head held high and maintaining her balance. The heels aren't too difficult to maneuver in, for which she's grateful, but Hermione wonders if shortening the heels by another inch or so might be the better choice. "Honestly, everything right now feels like it's simply icing on the cake. What matters most is that I know who I want to spend the rest of my life with, and now I have that reassurance that he wants to do the same. Not that I ever doubted it, really, but I think being able to admit that — whether it be with a ring or not — it's different. It's an important step."

Hermione smiles, nodding towards Kate's hand. "I imagine that you probably understand how I feel."
