"Why couldn't she?" Hermione asked, raising her brow and sneaking another glance at the young woman. Without seeing her glance back Billy's way, Hermione had no way of gauging the other woman's interest, but the look on Billy's face was still one of unmistakable admiration.
"But a friendship's just as good," she added, quickly brushing aside the matter. Curious though she was, Hermione also didn't want to step into sensitive territory just yet. Smiling, she ducked her head, then reached forward to give Billy a hug. "And thank you. Everything today's been absolutely wonderful, and getting married wouldn't be quite the same without being surrounded by friends. Have you been enjoying yourself? I'm really hoping the food and music are to people's tastes."
