"You flatter me," Hermione says with a laugh, though she blushes at the compliment. It's impossible not to be pleased today, and Hermione isn't sure that she's put so much time into her appearance since fourth year. Needless to say, today means a great deal more than the Yule Ball, and more than anything, Hermione is grateful for how everything has come together so seamlessly.
"It's impossible to describe how overwhelmed I am that everything's gone so well. I feel like⦠after having been through rough waters in my teenage years, that a part of me is constantly waiting for something to go awry. I don't have a reason to believe it will," she says, shaking her head briefly. "But the butterflies were still there in my stomach. Now that the ceremony is done and no one seems to be sick from the food, it's getting easier to breathe. Oh, and the weather, I couldn't have asked for a better day."
