Hermione remembers the time after she first arrived in the city, when she felt alone, and unsure how to grapple with the fact that Remus was also in the city. Remus, transported from many years into her past, who scarcely knew Hermione as more than a child, and probably thought her of next to a stranger in the beginning. Hermione remembers feeling like she couldn't be fortunate enough to have either Ron or Harry arrive.
And now, she's married. Her smile widens, cheeks warm as she fights the temptation to tear up for what must be the hundredth time that day.
"It worked out perfectly," Hermione confesses with a quick nod. "I think... for all the trouble that this city brings, there's a lot that it teaches us as well. I won't begrudge it. I'll just be grateful to have many of my loved ones here with me, and for the opportunity to make so many new friends as well."
