"Are you alright? Is everyone alright?" Ron asked, frowning as she tightened her grip on his hand and they headed up to their room. Something was definitely off, though he couldn't put his finger on it. The whole thing seemed a bit formal, in the moment, her making a point of leading him upstairs by the hand instead of just coming out with it.
And she looked like maybe she'd been crying a bit.
"Is it Mum? Are Mum and Charlie alright?" Though, if that was the case, he couldn't imagine Hermione wouldn't have come to fetch him at work. She'd know that was the sort of thing that shouldn't wait, if anything had happened to any of their family.
