"Would I wait to tell you until you were home if something was wrong? Don't worry, Ron," Hermione said, casting a quick smile over her shoulder. She knew that she was probably only serving to confuse Ron further, but Hermione didn't think that blurting out the news on the steps was the best idea. At the very least, the both of them needed to be sitting down. And with an open invitation having been extended to the rest of the family, their bedroom was the most private space in the house.
